Luego de escucharlo por primera vez, y darle una segunda y tercera pasada, me causa un sentimiento de culpa el no haberle tomado el real peso a este proyecto del genio holandés Arjen Lucassen.
Es difícil desglosar una obra de tan alto nivel, donde se fusiona una serie de elementos ajenos a la música en sí, como la literatura y la poesía en un disco que crea una atmósfera como pocos trabajos han podido, tanto a nivel de composición como la ejecución de los instrumentos.
El disco nos lleva en un viaje relatado por 8 personajes situados en distintas etapas del tiempo, donde una entidad les informa que deben cumplir una mision en el castillo. Alucinante.
Un disco ambisioso y en parte intimidante, que a mi parecer abarcó todo lo que podía de una forma magnífica.
Extenso, pero para nada aburrido, una obra maestra que debes darte el tiempo de escuchar completo.

Es difícil encasillar a Mnemec en un género en particular, ya que, como algunas bandas modernas, crean su propio estilo musical en base a sus influencias. De este experimento salió el (como ellos se definen) Future Fusion Metal.
Netamente en lo músical, este quinteto danés me causó algo parecido a lo que me pasó cuando escuché a Deftones por primera vez, ya que crean cierta atmósfera de pasividad que se rompe de golpe con la distorsión, pasando de 0 a 100 en unos segundos. Esto sumado a lo matemático que suenan sus instrumentos, queda una sensación de estar ante una de las bandas "diferentes" de nuestra época.
Buen disco para comenzar si no los conocías.
